Landmark CRACKER JACK

"Jack"

SOLD - August 2004

June 2008 - Landmark Cracker Jack carries on the family tradition with a tri-color at the prestigious Upperville Horse Show. In a huge class of nearly 30 entries, Jack won the first class over fences!

This put him into a tie for Champion - Great Job Jack & Georgie!!

Jack is a beautiful liver chestnut, medium (13.1H) welsh, VPBA registered pony, born February 8th 2001.  Jack's sire is a large quarter horse/welsh palomino pony and his dam is a medium grey welsh.  He has been to many schooling shows this year with an eleven year old and just about always in the ribbons.  He is very brave but quiet to his fences and jumps logs and small coups both under tack and being ponied.  He loves to jump and is fearless cross country.

Jack crosses water and is good in groups on the trail.  He's brave when leading a group and does not care if he is last and another pony canters by him.  In addition to being a great show pony, I am sure he would excel in the hunt field.  He loads onto any kind of trailer and is well traveled.  He cross ties and ties beautifully to a trailer (for hours at shows & no hay net!) and is good with the clippers around his muzzle and bridle path, but is a little ear shy.

He is sweet and kind and loves children.

Jack resides in Millwood VA and is owned by a loving family of four children.  In December 2004, he was purchased as a Christmas present for the oldest daughter.  We dressed him up with red ribbon and jingle bells and he seemed to love all the fuss.  As of Spring 2006, Jack and his children J are foxhunting with the Blue Ridge Hunt, competing at local shows with the children, showing at an occasional rated show, and competing in horse trials.
